Trouble Communicating? Help is here, attend a meeting of the
Treasure Coast Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association
of America.
The new “Hard of Hearing” badges are available, and the help
they can provide in communications is immeasurable. Users
of the Hard of Hearing Badges have reported what a difference
they make, not having to ask people to repeat things, and
being understood the first time. The stigma that used to exist
for the hearing impaired is now past, and becoming one’s own
best advocate is the “new rule”.
For more information, contact Cheryl or Bill at (772) 466-5687 or email noisegone@treasurecoastflhlaa.com.

FOCUS:
The focus of the Treasure Coast Chapter of Hearing Loss Association of America is asking for people to recognize the great need for this Chapter, find out the many advantages to joining, and to become a member.
There are ways to prevent hearing loss and to assist those who have one already, but it requires knowledge, effort and funds. The Chapter needs donations to perform their purposes and goals, which include information, education, support and advocacy for the hard of hearing, deaf and those with other hearing issues.
The Chapter also seeks volunteers, especially in these areas: Greeters, those with computer savvy, newsletter, editorial, graphic artist experience, guest speakers, membership recruiting, technology representative, fund raising, non-profit financial experience, phone call reminders of meetings, public relations. If you can help or know someone who can, in any way, please see our Contact page and let us know, and thanks!
